The New York State Department of Transportation announced construction is scheduled to begin Monday, March 19, on a project to mill and pave a portion of the LaSalle Expressway in the City of Niagara Falls.
At approximately 9 a.m., the ramp from the Niagara Scenic Parkway southbound to the LaSalle Expressway eastbound will be closed to allow for drainage repairs, milling and paving. This ramp will remain closed for approximately four weeks. A posted detour will direct motorists to exit the Niagara Scenic Parkway at Buffalo Avenue (Route 384), and proceed eastbound on Buffalo Avenue to the Interstate 190/LaSalle Expressway eastbound on-ramp.
This work is weather-dependent and could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to allow for additional travel time.
