The Youngstown Business and Professional Association's fall meeting took place Tuesday at the Youngstown Yacht Club (a member business).
The YBPA's president and secretary, Cheryl and Mark Butera, said, "We had an excellent turnout, including a visit from Legislator Clyde Burmaster."
Burmaster read aloud his resolution for $500 to help the YBPA acquire an event tent for its Youngstown Art & Music Festival, which is scheduled for on Oct. 7. Also, new Town of Porter Historian Lynn Zanardi donated a proclamation to the YAMF event, written in 1974 from then-Mayor Nick Lozzi, regarding "International Cultural Festival" (the first weekend in October).
"That means 43 years ago was the first fall event on record in Youngstown, even though we call the YAMF our fourth annual," the Buteras said.
