The City of Niagara Falls Department of Public Works offers electronics drop-off from dawn to dusk seven days a week at 1785 New Road. For a television drop-off, stop in to the DPW administration building from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays to obtain a television voucher. Limit of three vouchers per residential household per calendar year. For those in need of assistance removing the electronics from a vehicle, help is available on from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14
Household Hazardous Waste
Appointments are required for household hazardous waste disposal through the Niagara County Department of Public Works by visiting
www.ReThinkYourWaste.com. A drop-off event will take place Saturday, Sept. 23, at Lockport Town Hall and Saturday, Oct. 21, at the North Tonawanda Department of Public Works. Appointments are required for both events.
Bulk Pickup
Bulk refuse pickup in the City of Niagara Falls is weekly for cart customers. This includes one bulk item or one bag of trash next to the blue cart (excluding tires, hazardous items, constriction debris and electronics). Note that, during the week of Sept. 25, on one's regular trash pick-up day, residents will be allowed to place up to six bulk items out for the fall cleanup.
Yard Waste
Up to 10 clear bags of organic yard waste can be placed next to carts on a weekly basis. Yard waste includes: weeds, grass clippings, flowers, garden plants and leaves. Dirt is not an acceptable item for curbside pick-up.
Dump Permits
Excess trash or construction debris may be eligible for a free dump permit. Limit of three per residential parcel per calendar year. Visit
