The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the University of Rochester have developed a new agreement to streamline admission between the Rochester post-baccalaureate pre-health program (PBPH) and UB Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
Designed for students seeking to change careers, the PBPH prepares individuals seeking admission to health professional schools. By completing prerequisite coursework and receiving both personalized career education and connections to clinical and research opportunities, PBPH students complete the program ready to begin their professional training.
The agreement was signed in this month by James M. O'Donnell, Ph.D., dean of the UB School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences; Jeffrey T. Runner, Ph.D., dean of the University of Rochester's College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering; Michael E. Cain, M.D., vice president for health sciences and dean of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UB; and Graham Hammill, Ph.D., vice provost for graduate education and dean of the Graduate School at UB.
"The University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences values our strong collaboration with the University of Rochester, and this educational agreement will further solidify this partnership. We look forward to having their best and brightest students as members of our Pharm.D. program," O'Donnell said.
