The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls (101 Old Falls St.) is calling for applications from regional merchandise vendors to be part of its inaugural holiday marketplace on three consecutive Saturdays (11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 2, 9, 16.)
This first-time endeavor complements other area holiday activities, including Old Falls Street's annual holiday décor and activities, as well as the annual "Gingerbread Wonderland" activities taking place at the neighboring Niagara Falls Culinary Institute.
The holiday marketplace will be hosted inside The Conference & Event Center's Cataract Room, which is located along the picturesque Old Falls Street, USA. The room features its own separate entrance and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of Old Falls Street and neighboring businesses.
"We look forward to bringing additional shopping opportunities to our downtown area during the holiday season," said Spectra's Melissa Gearhart, sales director at The Conference & Event Center. "We hope that, by adding our holiday marketplace this year, guests will once again reconnect with downtown Niagara Falls, New York, as an area to visit for unique holiday gifts, while enjoying various other family programing and holiday décor that Old Falls Street and our neighboring businesses have to offer."
There will be limited space for approximately 50 merchandise vendor tables during the three Saturdays. Once applications are received, a decision will be made on which vendors to accept. The cost per vendor table will be $100 per Saturday, or $275 for all three.
"We want to allow for a variety of unique products to be sold," Gearhart said.
She is calling for both traditional crafters, commercial and retail vendors.
"Our Cataract Room is the ideal setting for this marketplace. We hope to make it an annual tradition," Gearhart added.
Interested vendors should call 716-278-2100 or email [email protected] to receive a vendor application. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, Oct. 13. All vendors will be chosen at this time and will be notified by Nov. 1.
