Jerald I. Wolfgang, chairman of the annual Niagara County Peach Festival parade, has announced the Lewiston Kiwanis Club is seeking units for this year's procession.
The parade is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, on Center Street in Lewiston. The route will begin from the Red Brick Municipal Building on Center and North Fourth streets. It will travel down Center Street to Academy Park.
Units wishing to march in this year's parade should go to
www.lewistonpeachfestival.org for an application. Applications will be accepted until Wednesday, Aug. 30.
The annual parade will feature over $2,000 in cash prizes and trophies awarded to outstanding school bands, senior bands, majorette units, fire companies, floats, drill teams and color guards.
The 2017 Niagara County Peach Festival will be held the weekend of Sept. 8-10 at Academy Park. More information on the event can be found online at
