All eligible organizations encouraged to attend event on April 20; briefing to include review of 2017, overview of 2018 funding application

The Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, in conjunction with the Erie County Arts and Cultural Advisory Board ("EACAB"), will kick off the annual arts and cultural funding program with an applicant briefing at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the WNED/WBFO Studios at 140 Lower Terrace, Buffalo. A review of the 2017 funding process and overview of the new 2018 funding application will be featured.

As in prior years, attendees will receive a checklist to be used while completing their 2018 short- or long-form funding applications. The funding application process provides the EACAB with important applicant information related to organizational effectiveness in the areas of finance, governance and management. The funding process aligns with the process used by the New York State Council of the Arts to increase efficiencies for applicants.

The electronic version of the application will be available by April 20 at erie.gov/environment. Additional information is available on the website to assist applicants, including eligibility criteria and step-by-step instructions for completing a short- or long-form funding application.

Eligible organizations seeking Erie County funding must submit their 2018 funding application by 11:59 p.m. Thursday, June 8.
