Niagara Hospice Press Release & Photos
The Jack Beatty Memorial Hospice Cruise and Clambake is back for its 23rd year, scheduled for Friday, July 11, at the historic Youngstown Yacht Club, come rain or shine. The longtime fundraiser benefits Niagara Hospice and, since inception, has raised over $670,000 for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Members of the Youngstown Yacht Club and skippers around Western New York generously donate their boats and time to take attendees up the Niagara River for an unforgettable cruise. During the cruise, participants can indulge in snacks and drinks provided by the boat owners, and will also enjoy live music by The Junkyard Dogs, who will perform right on the river for passing boats.
Following the boating portion of the event, the good times continue on land with a clambake and buffet featuring live music by Soul Committee.

“So many people in our community have benefitted from the exceptional, expert end-of-life care provided by Niagara Hospice,” event co-chairman Paul Beatty Jr. said. “This unique event provides a great experience for attendees while also giving back to the organization that has given so much to all of us.”
Organizers are anticipating the cruise portion of this year’s event to sell out quickly. Those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up early to secure their spot. Tickets are also available for just the clambake and cookout portion of the event, which will begin around 5:30 p.m.
Any interested skipper who would like to donate their boat and time to this event is encouraged to contact co-chairman Adam Burns at 716-713-5119. Online registration, pricing information and further event details can be found at www.hospicecruiseandclambake.com.
