Noel D. “Cheeta” Blair, age 90, died April 28, 2024.
He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Myrna (nee Farrell); the father of Babette (Bill) Strassburg, Noel Jr. (Patty) and Carter; and the grandfather of Troy Strassburg, Hannah Strassburg, Austin, Cameron and Abby.
Noel attended Tonawanda High School, where he graduated with his high school sweetheart, Myrna, in 1952. After graduating the University at Buffalo, he moved on to a career in chemical engineering. Noel served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was an avid boat racer, boat builder and antique car enthusiast – winning several national championships and high point titles.
Noel closely followed the New York Yankees and was a diehard Buffalo Bills fan, holding season tickets since 1964.
