New York State Higher Education Services Corp. unveils enhanced mobile-friendly agency website

The New York State Higher Education Services Corp. (HESC) announced the launch of its newly redesigned website. The new website offers an improved, user-friendly experience, and is part of HESC's continuing commitment to providing accessible information, tools and resources about New York state higher education financial aid to students, families, and education professionals.

Created with the user in mind, the enhanced HESC website introduces an all-new, intuitive interface with updates and new features designed to make it easier for New Yorkers to navigate the financial aid process.

Key features of the new website include:

√ A simplified and improved navigation that streamlines the user experience so users can easily find the information they need the most.

√ An expanded events page that allows visitors to filter events by topic and date so they can quickly see which sessions are most relevant to them.

√ An easier way for students to learn about and apply for the New York state financial aid programs they're eligible for. 

√ Improved access to the site's content from any mobile device.

HESC President Dr. Guillermo Linares said, "HESC’s website is a critical tool in informing and educating New Yorkers on the services that HESC provides to make college more accessible and affordable. With its new, modern design and clean and intuitive layout, students, parents and our academic partners can easily navigate through the site to access vital financial aid information and resources that will serve as a key to opening doors of opportunity, education and success for students across the state."

New York State Chief Customer Experience Officer Tonya Webster said, "The launch of the new HESC website marks a significant milestone in Gov. Kathy Hochul's commitment to ensuring that New Yorkers have a smoother, more intuitive experience in their interactions with state services. The new site is a critical tool in our collective efforts to enhance student engagement and experiences, marking a pivotal advancement in New York's mission to make higher education more accessible and navigable for all New York students.”

HESC visitors are encouraged to explore the new website’s features and improvements.

Visitors to the site can also sign up to receive text messages from HESC to stay informed about valuable resources, key financial aid information, and important deadline dates. 

HESC is New York state’s student financial aid agency and a national leader in providing need-based grant and scholarship award money to college-going students. At HESC’s core are more than two-dozen grant, scholarship, and loan forgiveness programs, including the NYS Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and the Excelsior Scholarship. HESC puts college within the reach of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers each year through programs like these and through the guidance it provides to students, families and counselors. HESC helps more than 300,000 students achieve their college dreams each year by providing more than $800 million in grants, scholarships, and loan forgiveness benefits.
