The 39th annual Wilson Historical Society Memorial Day Fair will take place on Monday, May 30, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The fair, presented by the non-profit Wilson Historical Society will be held on the museum grounds on Route 425 in the Town of Wilson. The American Legion will hold a special flag raising ceremony at noon on the museum grounds.
Included will be a super flea market with more than 250 vendors, and free entertainment by the Bar-Room Buzzards; an antique car museum also will be open and a special section for the display of antique and collectible cars on the grounds will be available with dash plaques for those that participate.
Expected foods include a Chiavetta's chicken barbecue, hot dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, homemade pies, sno-cones, coffee and doughnuts, lemonade, soft drinks, bottled water, plus other goodies.
