Niagara County Community College President William Murabito announced his intent to retire next year at the college's board of trustees meeting Tuesday. Dr. Murabito, who became the institution's seventh president in 2019 after having served in an interim role for two years, will retire on June 30, 2024.

New York Attorney General Letitia James applauded the State Legislature for passing legislation, sponsored by State Sen. Brian Kavanagh and Assembly member Helene Weinstein, that, her team said, "will reform the state's civil laws to provide more tools to prevent deed theft and help New Yorkers stay in their homes. The bill, drafted jointly with Attorney General James, is part of ongoing efforts to combat deed theft and keep New Yorkers in their homes."

On June 20, 1953, Edward Rayhill and Joanne Decot were married at St. Benedict's R.C. Church in Eggertsville. In 1959, the couple moved to Grand Island, where they raised their four children while Dr. Rayhill built a medical practice with doctors Miller and Sheehan.
