Today, ABC announced "The Oscars" will air live coast to coast on Sunday, March 10, in a new, earlier timeslot (7 p.m. EDT). A 30-minute preshow will lead into the live show (6:30 p.m.), and immediately following, ABC will air an original episode of the Emmy Award-winning comedy series "Abbott Elementary." The telecast will also be rebroadcast in the Pacific Time zone in primetime after the live presentation.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has signed legislation S.1783A/A.372A, which establishes a bill of rights for long-term care facility residents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or living with HIV. The bill prohibits long-term care facilities and their staff from discriminating against any resident on the basis of a resident's actual or perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or HIV status.
