DiNapoli: Value of IDA projects grew 10% in 2021 to $126 billion

New York's 107 local industrial development authorities (IDAs) reported 4,324 active projects with an aggregate value of $126 billion in 2021, a 10.4% (or $11.9 billion) increase compared to 2020, according to a report released Tuesday by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli. The number of IDA projects increased by 1.5%.

Bell of Buffalo pleaded guilty this afternoon before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to three counts of attempted murder in the second degree (class "B" violent felonies), and one count of criminal possession of a weapon of second degree (class "C" violent felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges in full satisfaction of the indictment against him.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced a jury has found 37-year-old William T. Bergeron of Cheektowaga guilty of the highest count in the indictment against him. Jurors rendered their decision this afternoon after less than an hour of deliberation following a four-day trial that began last week. Bergeron was found guilty of the following offenses:
