The National Football League on Monday announced the launch of The Smart Heart Sports Coalition, a collaboration among the NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS, NHL, NCAA, the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Korey Stringer Institute, National Athletic Trainers' Association and Damar Hamlin's Chasing M's Foundation. A little church trying to make a big difference

Recently, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilson presented local shut-ins, past church members who are no longer able to attend Mass, and low-income individuals, with a little good will and a sure sign of spring. Over 50 people were presented with hand-crocheted baskets, each containing blooming crocuses, along with chocolates donated by Park Side in Buffalo.

Cheektowaga man pleads guilty in shooting that killed a 3-year-old boy and injured 3 others

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 24-year-old Dequan Richardson of Cheektowaga pleaded guilty this morning before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to one count of murder in the second degree (class "A" felony), one count of assault in the first degree (class "B" felony), two counts of assault in the second degree (class "D" felony), and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest charge in the indictment.
