The Mental Health Association in Niagara County (MHA) will host a volunteer recruitment event on from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at The Ship Bar & Grill, 5612 Tonawanda Creek Road, Lockport. The event will include food and drink specials all afternoon, giveaways, as well as DJ Rosario playing music at the event.

AMD results from damage in the macula, which provides clear, straight-ahead vision, and therefore is critical to the ability to read, drive and recognize faces.
