NYS mask mandate extended until Feb. 10

On Friday, at the tail end of her speech at a press event regarding a downstate snowstorm, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced her mask mandate would remain in place through Feb. 10. The indoor face covering requirement was slated to end Feb. 1.

DiNapoli: Money earmarked for highway & bridge infrastructure siphoned off

ECDOH to offer walk-in COVID-19 testing at 2 sites

This site is offering free COVID-19 testing from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. weekdays. Walk-ins/drive-ups are welcome; appointments will be accepted, but not required.

Houghton College adopts Aquiline Drones' specialized training in new 5-year deal

Houghton College and Aquiline Drones announced a five-year partnership to offer online, instructor-guided drone pilot training to current and future students. Houghton is the first four-year educational institution in New York to add an Aquiline Drones pilot course to its curriculum. The training will prepare students to take the exam required to become a licensed drone pilot under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
