Out of all the high school students in the U.S., the National Technical Honor Society students who receive this honor comprise 1.6% of that population.

Award-winning artist Mac Powell releases his new "Christmas" EP featuring five songs that will make your holiday playlists this year. "Christmas" features three original songs, including "Christmas Time Again, My Friend," a song that he wrote with his daughter and son-in-law. Other songs featured are "I Pray On Christmas," a unique take on the classic Harry Connick Jr. song; as well as "Jesus Christ Is Born," which Powell released in 2022.

Vortex VR Arcade, located on the third floor of the One Niagara Welcome Center at 360 Rainbow Blvd., held its grand opening Sunday with a Halloween party. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 36-year-old Richard C. Frazier of Buffalo pleaded guilty yesterday morning before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of attempted assault in the first degree (class "C" violent felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest count in the indictment against him.
