Capitol Christian Music Group artists and husband and wife Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes have released a special new song together, "Cover The Earth," available at all digital outlets. Click HERE to listen or purchase the single. On Thursday, they debuted the live music video of the standalone song. Originally written by Daniella Mason, this song has been made anew with a bridge written by Cody putting their unique spin on the popular song.

On Thursday afternoon, coworkers and local elected leaders joined Ellicott Development CEO William Paladino as he broke ground on property overlooking a new plaza project. His company, in 2012, purchased a 4.1-acre parcel of land at Center, North Eighth and Onondaga streets. Three buildings offering a mix of commercial and culinary tenants, as well as rental spaces, are expected to open in the next year.

Parks & Trails New York and the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, with support from Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, announced the fourth round of $500,000 in competitive grants through the NYS Park and Trail Partnership Program funded through the NYS Environmental Protection Fund. The grants are available to organizations that support parks, trails, historic sites and public lands, and are administered by PTNY, in partnership with OPRHP.

The Erie County Attorney's office submitted a motion to file an amicus curiae ("friend of the court") brief in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York to provide the court with additional information in regard to the actions of Tonawanda Coke, which is said continues to operate in a manner that harms the citizens of Erie County.

It wasn't the best start for the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons football team Thursday night, but in the end, the team prevailed in its first road game of the season.
The Falcons rolled over the Hamburg Bulldogs, 35-12, Thursday night at Howe Field on the Hamburg High School campus.

The team is coming off a stellar 14-2 regular season last year, but they were ousted in the semifinals of the Section VI Class AA tournament.

After more than 60 years of supporting individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, the Niagara County chapter of NYSARC Inc., Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Inc., and the NYSARC Inc. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced more than 200 communities across the state have earned the Clean Energy Community designation, completing more than 1,250 total high-impact clean energy actions. The Buffalo Sabres announced the team's Road Crew will make its first tour stop of the 2018-19 season on Monday, Oct. 15, in Las Vegas prior to the team's game against the Golden Knights on Oct. 16. This tour stop will take place at Beerhaus (3784 South Las Vegas Blvd.) from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $15 each, with all proceeds benefiting the Buffalo Sabres Foundation.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Wednesday announced approximately $585.2 million in low-cost, tax-exempt bonds has been issued through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York on behalf of 56 school districts. This financing is the largest pooled school district issuance in DASNY history.

Last week, New York State Sen. Rob Ortt presented $45,000 in education funds and public protection monies to four Niagara County community organizations. Joining Ortt for the event was Isaiah 61, the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier, the Mental Health Association of Niagara County and the Family and Children's Services of Niagara Falls (Passages).
