Assemblyman Angelo J. Morinello is joining forces with his colleagues in the New York State Legislature to address the heroin and opioid epidemic that has run rampant across the state. This week, Morinello signed on to cosponsor two Assembly bills associated with the multipronged approach the Legislature has singled out as the proper way to address the disease.

Artpark & Company announced Wednesday that, thanks to additional support received, a 50 percent tuition discount and bus transportation are now offered for Artpark Theater Academy (July 10-Aug. 6). Academy enrollees living in the Niagara Falls and Buffalo areas now will have access to daily bus transportation to and from Artpark (schedule and bus stop locations to be determined) at no charge.

At Tuesday's upfront presentation at David Geffen Hall in New York City on Tuesday, ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey announced singer Rita Ora will host this summer's music competition series "Boy Band," which premieres on Thursday, June 22 (8-10 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Dungey also announced Nick Carter (Backstreet Boys) and Emma Bunton (Spice Girls) will join the series as architects, experts who will guide contestants throughout their journey to stardom.
