Youngstown readies for Christmas in the Village

Up next, it's the seventh annual Youngstown Christmas in the Village celebration, Saturday, Dec. 10. Presented by the Village of Youngstown, the Youngstown Business and Professional Association and local businesses, this community event kicks off at 10 a.m. and continues all day with a number of holiday-themed events taking place at the Red Brick School Village Center, at area businesses and throughout Youngstown.

The Village of Lewiston Board of Trustees on Monday approved Ellicott Development's site plan, a proposal to build a 4.1-acre, multimillion-dollar mixed-use plaza on the corner of Center, North Eighth and Onondaga streets. Trustee Dan Gibson was the lone dissenting vote.
Locally owned pet supply store opens in Niagara Falls

The Pet Stuff Store, Niagara Falls' only locally owned pet supply store, is now open for business. 
Owner Marcia Massaro began creating this business when she retired after 20 years from her job as a public housing manager. Massaro said she wanted to follow her passion for pets, and open her own pet store to provide for them.

The 2016 Niagara Falls High School football team finished the season with a 7-2 record. The team had a record year defensively, and was always a big threat to make huge plays on offense. The leader and catalyst of that offense was senior quarterback Jhamir Isom. His poise, athleticism and leadership were all key to the Wolverines season.
