Nancy Wilson has joined forces with vocalist Liv Warfield - formerly of Prince's New Power Generation - to create a dynamic live band she dubbed Roadcase Royale. The outfit is set to release its first record on Sept. 22, the 10-song "First Things First," and is opening for the Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band "Silver Bullet Tour" this fall.

Each year, the Niagara County (aka Lewiston Kiwanis) Peach Festival seems to get better and better. Marking its 60th year in 2017, Lewiston's favorite festival officially opens at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, at Academy Park on Center Street in the village.

High school football was back in action at Niagara-Wheatfield on Saturday. The Falcons and Lions offenses put on a clinic in the 48-minute affair, with Niagara-Wheatfield defeating Lockport, 43-42.

Pro Training Basketball cut the ribbon to open its facility on Saturday. In front of Town of Wheatfield Supervisor Robert Cliffe, and numerous parents and kids, Tony Watson II and partner Rod Middleton opened up to show the public what was inside.

On Saturday, Artpark became the latest venue to fall under William Close's spell as the world-renowned installation artist performed with his Earth Harp Collective on the newly extended Earth Harp, featuring more than two-dozen 1,000-foot-plus strings that sailed and wailed above the Lewiston audience.

"Big Bang," by Plasticiens Volants, made its U.S. debut on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Artpark in Lewiston. The dazzling, one-night-only aerial exhibition combined large-scale pieces of floating art in the skies with performance artists on the ground - all to the beat of the touring company's original soundtrack.
