Right before Christmas, Empire State Development announced Artpark & Company was the recipient of a $100,000 award from the Western New York Regional Economic Development Council. The money will go toward the creation of a master plan - a road map outlining what Artpark could and should be now and well into the future.

Starting Monday, Jan. 14, the Village of Lewiston Department of Public Works will begin replacing water meter heads. Residents are asked to call the clerk's office at 754-8271 to make an appointment. There is no fee for this service, which should only take about 10 minutes.

In basketball terms, when Niagara-Wheatfield and Grand Island stepped onto the hardwood inside N-WHS Tuesday night, the teams were battling to improve their record in the Niagara Frontier League and gain points for the sectional playoffs. As important as a win was, though, Tuesday night was a lot more than basketball.
The Falcons and Vikings joined in the 2019 Hoops for Hope game, which was played in honor of a friend close to each school's heart - Julie Neville.

Publishing a book is no easy feat. Authors start off with an idea, and sometimes it could be tough for that idea to transfer into a publication.
For Brigette Callahan and Kristin Warham, their dream of creating a book about their love of Buffalo came true.
The book, "Buffalo From A to Z, Come Take a Tour With Me," is a bright, colorful, 54-page guide around the City of Buffalo.

There's only a few days left in 2018, but looking back ... what a year it has been for Niagara-Wheatfield athletics. 2018 saw a majority of Falcons sports teams accomplish winning records, some of which included Niagara Frontier League and Section VI championships. Some teams and individuals were even fortunate enough to reach the state finals.

After successfully landing in Academy Park, Santa met with children and families before boarding his special Deal Realty Float. J&J Strassburg Trucking transported the holly-jolly one to the International Peace Garden, where he greeted even more youth.
