Grand Island Town Board: Insurance carrier to recompense town after theft

Lewiston: Smelt Festival moving to Academy Park

Unlike the fish it's named for, which is tiny and landlocked, the Lewiston Smelt Festival is large and needs room to expand. On Tuesday, the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce was granted permission by the Village Board to move the May 3 event from the Lewiston waterfront into Academy Park.

As important as a win was, though, Tuesday night was a lot more than basketball. The Falcons and Vikings joined in the 2019 Hoops for Hope game, which was played in honor of a friend close to each school's heart - Julie Neville.
