In response to a blistering audit from the New York State Comptroller's office, City of North Tonawanda Accountant Jeffrey Zellner addressed the council Tuesday night and refuted some of the audit's findings. He also referred to the audit as being "politically motivated" and criticized the auditors themselves as being "unprofessional."

Acclaimed musical ensemble Alarm Will Sound performed the Western New York premiere of "Ten Thousand Birds" by John Luther Adams at Artpark on Sunday. Lewiston-Porter has submitted its reopening plan to the New York State Education Department (NYSED). The reopening plan provides for in-person instruction, remote learning, and a hybrid of the two approaches as required by NYSED. At issue here is concern over a site plan application submitted by Niagara Properties - EnSol Inc. - of Niagara Falls.
