Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced appointments are now available at 10 new state-run mass-vaccination sites across the state, including The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls at 101 Old Falls St. All 10 sites will open Friday, March 19, and will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Niagara County Legislature Chairwoman Becky Wydysh and Director of Public Health Daniel J. Stapleton on Tuesday said it does not appear Niagara County will be getting the amount of vaccine doses it expected from New York state. The county ordered 6,500 doses of vaccine, including 5,000 of Johnson & Johnson. The county is still expecting a small supply of Moderna.
