Publishing a book is no easy feat. Authors start off with an idea, and sometimes it could be tough for that idea to transfer into a publication.
For Brigette Callahan and Kristin Warham, their dream of creating a book about their love of Buffalo came true.
The book, "Buffalo From A to Z, Come Take a Tour With Me," is a bright, colorful, 54-page guide around the City of Buffalo.

A service will begin at the church, 322 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, and will be followed by a catered banquet at Adams Fire Hall, 7113 Nash Road, at 12:30 p.m. Adult admission is $20; children 6-18 years of age: $10; and children under 5 years enter free.

Last week, North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas, accompanied by his wife Linda, was joined by members of the Common Council, city officials, Children's Memorial committee members, as well as State Sen. Rob Ortt and a message from State Assemblyman Robin Schimminger in their participation in a dedication ceremony for the Children's Memorial Garden, which took place at Brauer Park, adjacent to City Hall at 216 Payne Ave.

The Summit Park Mall along Williams Road in the Town of Wheatfield used to be a gathering place for families and friends to shop, socialize and have an enjoyable time. In 2018, the mall is completely vacant, as the two remaining tenants - Sears and The Bon Ton - have shut their doors.

On a rainy Saturday morning, the Niagara Falls Air Base hosted a mass accident response exercise to prepare for any possible crash in the future. With the Thunder of Niagara Air Show set to take place on June 9 and 10, the setting of the simulation was for preparation in the event of an air show crash.
