Courtney Gunderson was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Lewiston Community Lions. As a Lewiston-Porter 2017 graduate, she qualified and was awarded the scholarship based on her volunteer activities and service commitment to the Lewiston community.

On Sunday, Niagara Jet Adventures held its annual charity trip. Once a year, NJA hosts such an event, which provides inner-city children from different organizations with a unique and exciting experience. This year, NJA had the privilege of taking out the Victory Assembly of God youth group.

Lee Simonson, Susan Geissler, Pete Henderson and Tim Henderson (aka Josiah Tryon) welcomed Dorothy Counts-Scoggins to the Village of Lewiston on Tuesday. Almost 60 years ago, at the age of 15, Counts-Scoggins was the first black student to attend Harding High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.
