Participants "Sip" and "Shop" from 1-5 p.m., and "Eat," well, whenever they're hungry! They collect a punch card at designated gold star balloon businesses; stop into any of the participating sites along Center Street, which will be marked with star balloons (red - "Sip" and "Shop"; blue - "Sip" and "Eat"); take a look around to see what's inside, and get the punch card punched. No purchase is necessary - but purchases are always appreciated.

Three days after the former deputy mayor's death, Tom Deal of Deal Realty suggested a portion of South Sixth be renamed "Sutherland Street." Bruce would often hold court from his house, and he and his wife, Jackie, were popular among neighbors.

Sunday night at the Lewiston No. 1 Fire Co. firehall, 19-year-old Shanya Davis of Niagara Falls was named the 2021-22 Peach Queen. She received her crown from Victoria Skrlin-Kozak, who took the title in 2019. The scholarship pageant did not take place in 2020, due to coronavirus safety restrictions.

Members of the Niagara County Legislature, local dignitaries and family and friends of the late Clyde Burmaster held a ceremony Friday, July 23, to officially dedicate the Clyde L. Burmaster Park on Lower Mountain Road in Ransomville. The park had been formerly known as Bond Lake Park.
