For 2018 Canal Fest there will be a new opportunity to save on Canal Fest ride prices. Pay-one-price wristband bracelets will be available every day the rides are open: Monday, July 16 - Sunday, July 22. Bracelets are $25 each on the midway. They are good on all rides on the day of purchase. The speed ride may require an additional ticket or two.

A class of 1998 Niagara-Wheatfield High School graduate and Niagara Falls, New York, native is serving as part of the Pre-Commissioning Unit for the future Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, USS Thomas Hudner (DDG 116).
Chief Petty Officer David Vendetti is a fire controlman assigned to DDG 116 in Bath, Maine. As a fire controlman, Vendetti is responsible for training and the professional development of junior sailors.

The Carnegie Art Center and Gateway Harbor will host the first Music and Arts Festival of the Tonawandas in Tonawanda and North Tonawanda from July 31 through Aug. 4. On Tuesday evening at the Town of Niagara Town Hall, the Town Planning Board held its monthly meeting. Discussion on the revised Bri Estates site plan was expected, but the board had to table all discussion after developers from Double C Realty felt the need to make changes to their plan and submit an updated proposal. Planning Board members agreed they didn't know what changes would be made to the proposal.
