Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, in partnership with the Town of Niagara, has completed a decade-long project to protect and restore a critical forested wetland site along Cayuga Creek in the Town of Niagara. The protection of an additional 12 acres in partnership with the Buffalo Niagara River Land Trust in September caps off restoration work on the creek and surrounding ecosystem.

A new event space at the former Summit Park Mall is hosting a wet and wild visual trip under a glacier. New York State Sen. Sean Ryan announced he has secured state grants totaling $656,000 to help fund three brand-new recreational activities for children in the City of Tonawanda. The projects include a splash pad at the city's public pool, a sportsplex at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northtowns' Newman Family Club, and an accessible playground for all children located at the new City of Tonawanda Elementary School.

The local competition put Mark in the running for the title of Best Mullet in the USA - against 24 other contestants from around the United States.

Rosa and members of the New York State Education Department made a visit to the Niagara Wheatfield Central School District, specifically to the Tuscarora Indian School. The goal of the stop was to meet with the members of the Tuscarora Council, tour the school, and inspect the beginning of school improvements that have started thanks to monies from New York state totaling $11.8 million.
