CBS All Access renews 'Star Trek: Picard' for second season

CBS All Access on Sunday announced the second season renewal of its upcoming original series "Star Trek: Picard." Julie McNamara, executive vice president of original content for CBS All Access, made the announcement during the service's biannual Television Critics Association presentation.

In the film categories, "Once Upon a Time...In Hollywood" took home four awards, the most of the night, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor for Brad Pitt, Best Original Screenplay for Quentin Tarantino, and Best Production Design for Barbara Ling and Nancy Haigh. "1917" followed closely behind, winning three categories.

"thirtysomething(else)," a sequel to the groundbreaking series "thirtysomething," has received a pilot pickup from ABC. The show will follow an ensemble of new faces playing the grown-up, 30-something children of the original cast reprised by Ken Olin (Michael Steadman), Mel Harris (Hope Murdoch), Timothy Busfield (Elliot Weston) and Patty Wettig (Nancy Weston).
The CW gives early orders to 13 current series for next season

The CW Network on Tuesday renewed 13 of its current scripted series for the 2020-21 season, as well as ordering 13 additional scripts of "Katy Keene," which will make its debut on Feb. 6. Announcements were made by President Mark Pedowitz.
