Jury finds gunman guilty for fatally shooting teen in city's Black Rock Neighborhood

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced a jury has found 21-year-old Javair D. Walker of Buffalo guilty of one count of murder in the second degree (class "A-I" felony) and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" violent felony).
Niagara County DPW conducting survey work on Upper Mountain Road

The Niagara County Department of Public Works announced KHEOPS Architecture, Engineering & Survey, DPC, will perform land surveying for a future infrastructure improvement project along Upper Mountain Road, between Lockport Junction Road and Route 31. Hochul appointed Kesner to the board and also recommended her as the next chairperson of the ECHDC board, which the board approved Monday.
Gas prices keep moving lower: National average continues fall decline

Today's national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $3.55, down 5 cents from last Monday. One year ago, the price was $3.80. The New York state average is $3.78, down 3 cents from a week ago. A year ago, the NYS average was $3.67.
