Good Friday at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral

St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral will offer a special Good Friday service. "Tre Ore" ("The Great Three Hours") will take place from noon until 3 p.m. April 15. It is a service of homilies, hymns and prayers of the seven last words of Christ from the cross. The Rev. Canon Robert Duerr will preach. The public is invited and free to come and go as needed.

Niagara County seeks help of residents in completing health survey

The Niagara County Department of Health is working closely with the three local hospitals, its mental health and substance abuse department, and community partners - forming the Niagara County Community Health Workgroup - to "identify priority areas to build a plan to improve the health of our communities." Health information management vendor identifies and addresses email security incident

Ciox Health, a company that provides health information management services to providers and insurers across the U.S., is working with its customers, including Catholic Health, to notify patients whose information may have been part of an incident involving unauthorized access to a Ciox employee's email account. About 1,300 hospital and primary care patients in Catholic Health are affected and will be receiving a letter from Ciox in the coming days.

The Niagara County Center for Economic Development announced the launch of the new Niagara County Façade Program (NCFP). The NCFP will provide matching grants up to $50,000 for eligible businesses in order to rejuvenate their properties to help bring vibrancy to the central business districts in communities across the county. Catholic Health secures $58.5m in bond financing to fund new Lockport Memorial Hospital

Catholic Health announced Tuesday it has secured orders from several investors for $58.5 million in bonds to fund construction of its Lockport Memorial Hospital. In addition to the new hospital, which will become a campus of Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Niagara County, the bond financing will support cardiac catheterization room renovations at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, and other small infrastructure projects across the system.
