Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday announced seven new pop-up vaccination sites at airports in New York City, White Plains, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo. The sites will be open for walk-in vaccinations on a first-come, first-served basis utilizing the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office and the Office for the Aging have partnered to offer free senior ID cards to any Niagara County resident 60 years of age and older. These cards will display a picture and identifying information similar to a driver's license on the front, and will list two emergency contacts and pertinent medical information on the back.

The USDA Forest Service Eastern Region announced two requests for applications for 2021 Great Lakes Restoration Initiative projects. Through an agreement with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Forest Service anticipates up to $5.4 million will be available for reforestation, ecosystem restoration and forest health improvements on non-federal lands in the Great Lakes basin of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
