Niagara County Legislator Mike Hill presented a proclamation at Tuesday night's legislature meeting to Niagara County Farm Bureau President John King and Farm Bureau Vice President Jeannette Miller, owner of The Eclectic Farmstead in Newfane. This was done in celebration of March as National Agriculture Month.

Kleinhans Music Hall announced its annual fundraiser, "Rhythm and Brews," will take place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in the Mary Seaton Room at the famed Buffalo venue. The event was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed due to the pandemic.

Shea's Performing Arts Center has announced the M&T Bank 2022-23 Broadway Series and special engagements. President Michael G. Murphy and Broadway partner-producer Albert Nocciolino unveiled the upcoming slate of shows on Wednesday. The season includes "thrilling new productions and beloved favorites" on Shea's Buffalo stage beginning this September.

Barry Entertainment will present the third annual Village Music Fest from noon until 10 p.m. Aug. 6 at Veterans Park in Youngstown. Canadian Rock band The Trews will headline a show that features 10 local and regional bands, including Melissa Barry & Element, Grub, No Vacancy, Scott Celani, and Tonemah. The all-day event will also feature more than 30 vendors and artisans for shopping, a beer and wine tent, games, food trucks and a petting zoo.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the newest employees of the state's SNUG Street Outreach program will be deployed to sites in Albany, Buffalo, Hempstead, Mt. Vernon, Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Rochester, Syracuse, Troy and Yonkers. Hochul met with the new staff and delivered virtual remarks at the team training on Wednesday.

No purchase is necessary - but purchases are always appreciated.

In July of 2021, Bashar Srouji was in the midst of realizing his lifelong dream. His Mediterranean restaurant/pizzeria, Ghada Have It!, was six months into a successful first year of operation. But on July 20, a historic rainstorm in the Town of Niagara nearly washed those dreams away completely.

Gov. Kathy Hochul has designated March 5-6 and 12-13 for free snowmobiling by all out-of-state and Canadian snowmobilers. During these promotional weekends, the requirement to register in New York is waived for properly registered and insured out-of-state snowmobiling enthusiasts wishing to explore New York's 10,500 miles of snowmobile trails.
