Tops cuts ribbon and celebrates $3.7 million renovations on 2 Niagara Falls locations

On Wednesday, Tops Friendly Markets celebrated the grand reopening of two of its Niagara Falls locations. More than $3.7 million in enhancements took place at 7200 Niagara Falls Blvd., and 4235 Military Road - two locations "updated with a new look and a renewed focus on fresh departments over the past four years."

NYS: $12 million in assistance for struggling families with children

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $12 million in federal funding is being used to provide a one-time family economic support payment to low-income families with children. Administered by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, the Pandemic Emergency Assistance Fund will provide households with children aged 17 and under, that receive public assistance, with approximately $100.

Hochul updates New Yorkers on new COVID-19 vaccine, urges precautions as cases rise

Gov. Kathy Hochul updated New Yorkers on the CDC's approval last night of an updated COVID-19 vaccine, and urged New Yorkers to get the shot once it is available later this week. The 2023-24 vaccine, previously authorized by the federal Food and Drug Administration, is expected to be available at pharmacies and physicians' offices, as well as other health care providers, throughout New York in the coming days.
