Earlier this week, Niagara Frontier Publications learned Beatles drummer Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band were booked to play this summer at Artpark in Lewiston. The group will perform in the outdoor amphitheater Tuesday, June 24.

NBC has greenlit the 12-hour miniseries "A.D.," a follow-up to the miniseries "The Bible" that aired on History earlier this year from creators Mark Burnett and Roma Downey.

The project will be produced by LightWorkers Media with Burnett, Downey and Richard Bedser serving as executive producers.

"A.D." will most likely air in spring 2015.

Former Sabres star Pat LaFontaine has been brought on as president of hockey operations. He, in turn, has brought back former coach Ted Nolan to serve as interim coach.
