The Town of Grand Island Historic Preservation Advisory Board presented its first historic homes plaque to Susan Myers, 2488 Whitehaven Road, on Saturday, Nov. 5. The plaque reads "Circa 1865."
Give for Greatness grant applications now being accepted

Arts Services Initiative of Western New York announced grant applications are now being accepted for its Give for Greatness program. Up to 35 grants providing general operating support in the amount of $1,000 each will be distributed thanks to several fundraising initiatives throughout the year.

Poloncarz was joined Friday by Town of Grand Island Supervisor Nathan McMurray, members of the Erie County Department of Public Works, members of the Town of Grand Island Highway Department, and local residents to review roadwork started this week on Baseline Road, and also announce a project slated to begin Monday on Whitehaven Road.
