Our Lady Peace to perform at Rapids Theatre in Niagara Falls

Canadian superband Our Lady Peace will make its only U.S. concert stop this summer Friday, Aug. 15, at the Rapids Theatre, 1711 Main St., Niagara Falls. The show begins at 8 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.).

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, The Walt Disney Company, Marvel and Netflix Inc. have announced Marvel's landmark live-action television series, which will bring Marvel's "flawed heroes of Hell's Kitchen" characters to Netflix, the world's leading Internet TV network, will principally film in New York state.

Filming is set to begin this summer and will create at least 3,000 jobs in New York, including up to 400 full-time jobs.
