ABC announced today the "Dancing with the Stars" season 2020 celebrity cast, live on ABC's "Good Morning America." The series, hosted by supermodel and businesswoman Tyra Banks, returns to the ballroom with a lineup of celebrities including a Grammy Award winner, a "Bachelorette," a big-cat lover-turned-reality TV star, and a pro-football legend, to name a few.

Grammy Award-winning, critically acclaimed alternative rock luminaries The Smashing Pumpkins return with two new tracks, "Cyr" and "The Colour Of Love," out on Sumerian Records today. Recorded in Chicago and produced by Corgan, the new tracks come with the news of a forthcoming studio album in the works with founding members Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, plus longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder.

Ahead of one of the most pivotal elections in the nation's history, HBO Max and "The West Wing" creator Aaron Sorkin announced Tuesday that, for the first time in 17 years, the original cast of the Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning hit Warner Bros. Television drama series will come together with Sorkin and executive producer/director Thomas Schlamme for "A West Wing Special to Benefit When We All Vote." The show will debut on the streaming service this fall.

When "Play ball!" was heard in Buffalo's downtown gem of a ballpark, Sahlen Field, at 6:37 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, I experienced tears of joy. The game's first pitch signified the return of Major League Baseball to Buffalo. The Queen City was a member of the Federal League in 1905.

Country Music Hall of Famer, Grand Ole Opry member and southern rock legend Charlie Daniels passed away Monday morning at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee. Doctors determined the cause of death was a hemorrhagic stroke. Daniels was 83.

HBO Sports has acquired North American television and streaming rights to the documentary feature film "The Weight Of Gold," a revealing and powerful documentary exploring the mental health challenges Olympic athletes often face in deeply personal detail. The film debuts Wednesday, July 29 (9 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO, at the same time as the 2020 Summer Games (with 11,000 world-class athletes in attendance) were slated to be competing in Tokyo. Those athletes, like much of the world's population, are currently at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
