Lockport artist Mike Weber of Niagara County Entertainment is partnering with Natalie Brown, program coordinator of the Carnegie Art Center, to create an interactive mural trail in Niagara County. This project will be a series of 12 new murals installed across the county (one per municipality) and painted by 12 different artists.

Also on that day, low-risk, indoor and outdoor arts and entertainment - including museums, aquariums, zoos and botanical gardens - will increase to 50% capacity.

Congressman Brian Higgins and City of Niagara Falls Mayor Robert Restaino are calling for expansion of the Amtrak route between Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Toronto to be a priority as the federal government plans to make investments in rail. The American Jobs Plan, the infrastructure package announced by President Joe Biden on March 31, proposes an $80 billion investment to expand and improve Amtrak service.

The Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center (NFUGRR) and the AT&T Foundation have launched "Black History Now," a program to provide online educational resources on Black history, social justice and the legacy of slavery. NFUGRR has provided virtual tours and resources for teachers and students to utilize amidst the pandemic, but the organization aims to keep these lessons in the classroom beyond Black History Month as a way to continue the important conversation.

Empire State Development and Preservation Buffalo Niagara announced $500,000 has been awarded as part of the first round of grants being made through the East Side Commercial Building Stabilization Fund, part of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's East Side Corridor Economic Development Fund. Nine awardees have been selected to receive funding for the stabilization of historic at-risk buildings on Buffalo's East Side.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced a new expansion of COVID-19 vaccine eligibility in New York. Beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, all New Yorkers 30 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine. Beginning April 6, universal eligibility goes into effect and all New Yorkers 16 years of age and older will be eligible to receive the vaccine.
