Producer Jeffrey Seller, Shea's Performing Arts Center, and Broadway partner Albert Nocciolino announce today that single tickets for "Hamilton" will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, at ticketmaster.com and in person at the shea's box office, 646 Main St., downtown Buffalo. Tickets will be available for performances running Oct. 15-27.

The American Red Cross is experiencing an emergency blood shortage as the nation faces dangerous levels of heat and people head out for final summer travel plans. Since July 1, the Red Cross national blood supply has fallen by more than 25%, and blood donors of all types, especially those with type O blood, are urged to give as soon as possible to help patients receive lifesaving medical care.

In celebration of Artpark & Company's 50th anniversary season, Craig Walsh's "Monuments," a temporary installation created by the acclaimed Australian artist, will be unveiled at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, in Artpark's Amphitheater along the red brick road and upper lawn. The presentation will be preceded by an 8 p.m. performance by Montreal's Cirque Kikasse. Both events are free and open to the public.

The Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY) will bring its 152nd annual convention to Niagara Falls from Aug. 7-11 at the Sheraton and the Niagara Falls Convention Center. Despite their having done this - live performance, genuine rock 'n' roll - for a half-century, her vocals were as strong as ever, while his guitar was super crisp. When the United States entered World War 1 in 1917, a young man of 23, George Vaughn Seibold, volunteered requesting assignment in aviation. The United States was short of airplanes; and having no air force, George was sent to Canada for training with British aviators. George was then sent to England and was assigned to Royal Flying Corps, 148th Aero Squadron.

According to a recent survey from Nationwide Travel Insurance, U.S. consumers are optimistic about travel plans throughout 2024. Ninety-one percent said they have plans to travel domestically, and 50% had international trips on the horizon. Also, 40% intended to travel more than they did in 2023.
