Empire State Development announced Global NY will lead a trade mission to Israel from March 25-28. Global NY is New York's gateway for both local businesses interested in exporting internationally and foreign businesses looking to invest in New York. The trade mission will strengthen economic ties with Israel by helping to increase exports and the number of businesses that export in New York.
USA Niagara approves general project plan and construction contract for 'Cataract Commons'

The USA Niagara Development Corp. board of directors met Thursday and approved the general project plan and a construction services contract for the Cataract Commons Civic Project, a proposed public open space facility or "commons" space located on Old Falls Street in downtown Niagara Falls.

AAA's annual automated vehicle survey found 71 percent of people are afraid to ride in fully self-driving vehicles - indicating overall sentiment has not yet returned to what it was prior to these incidents occurring (63 percent).

Icy temperatures cut electric vehicle range nearly in half

As freezing temperatures plague much of the country, electric vehicle owners may experience a decrease in driving range, compounded by the use of the vehicle's interior climate control. New research from AAA reveals that, when the mercury dips to 20°F and the HVAC system is used to heat the inside of the vehicle, the average driving range is decreased by 41 percent. This means that, for every 100 miles of combined urban/highway driving, the range at 20°F would be reduced to 59 miles.
