Village concert promoter Steve Goodman is coordinating the first Lewiston Musical Festival, an event that will feature local chefs and merchants providing their goods to a backdrop of music from some of Western New York's top bands. The event is set for Friday and Saturday, July 8-9, at Academy Park.

Construction crews have worked for the better part of two weeks on the new additions to Hibbard's Custard and the Natural Link butcher shop on Center Street and Portage Road in the Village of Lewiston. The former is adding an indoor seating area for lunch and dinner, while the latter is receiving some additional showroom space.

Angel to Apple Clothing Boutique recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. As part of the festivities, two contests were held: patrons chose the most fashionable store shopper, and Rachel Goodman won the "wear the most stuff" contest, as she was covered with more than 60 items purchased in the boutique.
