'Sound Moves Me' opening at Artpark

Artpark & Company on Thursday announced a new series of interactive outdoor arts workshops titled "Sound Moves Me" set along the Niagara River Gorge in the Artpark Percussion Garden area (lower park, South Fourth Street entrance). The series, offered free of charge and open to people of all ages and physical abilities, is set for 3-4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoons from Sept. 25 through Oct. 23.
Artpark to present new public artworks

Artpark & Company will unveil two new public artworks: interactive installations "Murmuration" by SO - IL studio, and mural "Unity in Diversity" by Muhammad Z Zaman. Both pieces will be on display, free and open to the public, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10.

After 22 months apart, Artpark and a few thousand of its closest friends reunited this week for the first "Tuesdays in the Park" of 2021 - the first Tuesday concert since 2019 - heck, the first Tuesday gig since the pandemic shut the world down, shuttered concert venues and grounded tours. There were hugs, warm greetings and cold beverages, at the "reunion show" in Lewiston.

This is thanks to a $100,000 grant from The John R. Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced that, beginning April 2, event, arts and entertainment venues can reopen at 33% capacity, up to 100 people indoors and up to 200 people outdoors. If all attendees present proof of negative test prior to entry, capacity can increase up to 150 people indoors and up to 500 people outdoors.
