Mother nature claims third of season at Ransomville Speedway

Mother Nature once again played the spoiler all over the northeast today, including at Ransomville Speedway. All night rains on Thursday gave way to gloomy but dry conditions through the early part of today, giving hope to all. Unfortunately, the rains returned at 3 p.m. forcing officials to pull the plug on tonight's program.

The Town of Porter has announced that its summer recreation program will get underway on Monday, July 1, and continue to Thursday, Aug. 8.
