BPO cancels New World Symphony

"The BPO has made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend's New World Symphony performances on Friday, Jan 14, at 10:30 a.m., and Saturday, Jan 15, at 7:30 p.m. Though the orchestra has always taken the strictest precautions for the safety and welfare of the musicians, staff, and crew involved in the production of its concerts, this decision was made due to growing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus in our community."
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to receive $20,000 grant from National Endowment for the Arts

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra has been approved for a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award to support its "West Side Connection" music outreach program. "West Side Connection" is presented to students in the neighborhood of Kleinhans Music Hall and beyond, including three Spanish bilingual schools, a Native American magnet school, and three international schools serving the West Side population of recent and past immigrants from diverse countries.

The Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday announced the team, in partnership with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, will again take part in the NHL's "Hockey Fights Cancer" program during the team's home game against the Seattle Kraken at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29.
