Hochul: $20 million in water infrastructure upgrades for Erie County Water Authority

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $20 million in water infrastructure upgrades for communities in Erie County. Her team said, "With this funding, the Erie County Water Authority can complete a long-awaited, $80 million overhaul that includes upgrading water filters that treat 60 million gallons of water from Lake Erie each day, and haven't had substantial upgrades for 70 years."

Kathy Hochul on Saturday updated New Yorkers on "the state's ongoing efforts to support asylum seekers, help them find shelter, and connect them with critical social services as they arrive in New York." This includes $250 million in funding already sent to New York City, "progress resulting from continued advocacy with the federal government, and additional National Guard deployments."
