The Poloncarz administration today performed its Erie County charter-mandated action of submitting Erie County's major revenues and expenses report to the Erie County comptroller, a procedural action that must take place no later than Oct. 1 as the administration prepares to release the proposed 2025 budget.

Erie County's ErieNet broadband initiative is cleared to begin construction in the City of Buffalo after the Buffalo Common Council passed a resolution approving the Telecommunications License Agreement with ErieNet LDC on Sept. 3. The approval is a major step toward bringing high-speed broadband access to areas of Erie County that have lacked it for years.
