Niagara Wine Trail hosting annual festival on July 1

The Niagara Wine Trail is hosting its annual Wine Festival at a new venue on Saturday, July 1. The one-day event is being hosted over two sessions at the Niagara Falls Convention Center (101 Old Falls St.).

Niagara Falls Memorial adds 3 vascular surgeons to medical team

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center announced the addition of three vascular surgeons to its medical team. Dr. Brittany Montross, M.D., RPVI; Dr. Sikandar Khan, MBBS; and Dr. Raphael Blochle, M.D., have joined Memorial and will offer a certified noninvasive vascular lab service, providing vascular care to the Niagara Falls community.
Mount St. Mary's Hospital continues to provide services for mothers & babies in Niagara County

Manslaughter conviction in Niagara County

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Chevelle Sherrill, age 44, of Niagara Falls, plead guilty this morning to manslaughter in the first degree in the killing of Calvin Wroten, age 48, also of Niagara Falls, on Jan. 5, 2022. Sherrill admitted to shooting Wroten, who was her boyfriend, with a shotgun inside the apartment they shared.

Transit Road, Lockport, on June 18 at 12:01 a.m., following the closure of Eastern Niagara Hospital on June 17. Mount St. Mary's Hospital will operate the 24/7 emergency department until the new Lockport Memorial Hospital opens in September.

Sunday motor vehicle accident in Wheatfield
