Following the success of its first façade program that was created in 2022, the Niagara County Legislature on Friday announced "Façade Program 2.0," offering matching grants up to $50,000 for qualified business to make exterior capital improvements to their properties. The program is being run by the county's Center for Economic Development.

Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced Austin Page, age 23, of Niagara Falls, was sentenced to 20 years in state prison, followed by five years post-release supervision, for his conviction of assault in the first degree. Page had previously plead guilty to assaulting a 2-month-old child, causing severe injuries including broken bones and brain injury.

Niagara County on Wednesday announced the launch of the Connect Niagara bus service, which replaces the former Niagara Rural Transportation service. Connect Niagara offers new routes and better connectivity, including free transfers to connecting routes and NFTA Metro buses. The new routes go into effect Monday, March 4.
